The annual Live Nativity Pageant takes place at Fairy Lake Park presented by the Town of Newmarket and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. A Journey to Bethlehem features a live cast with real animals representing the nativity scene and birth of Jesus Christ as told in the New Testament. Dress warmly as the Pageant takes place outside.
Shows are scheduled at 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. on both evenings and are approximately 15-20 minutes in length.

The magic of the Christmas season returns to Toronto, November 14 to December 22, with the 10th annual Toronto Christmas Market at the Distillery Historic District. Ranked one of the best Christmas Markets in the world, the festival features hundreds of unique and locally handcrafted products, stunning light canopies, family friendly entertainment, heated mulled wine, beer and hospitality gardens, and Santa and the elves, all in an atmosphere so romantic you can’t help but fall in love with the holiday season all over again. Admission is free of charge on weekdays until Friday at 5pm. There is admission on weekends; check website for tickets on weekends.
Children under 2 are free.
Although the Toronto Christmas Market is not active on Mondays, the shops and restaurants of the Distillery Historic District are open 7 days a week.

As a part of the Roaring 20s Christmas tours, participate in The Nutcracker Ballet-themed activities that include a scavenger hunt, take-home crafts based on the Nutcracker, and enjoy 1940s-era ballet costumes on loan from Dance Collection Danse. This event is part of Toronto History Museums’ Holiday programming. Spadina Museum is one of 10 Toronto History Museums which explore where Toronto’s many pasts, presents and futures meet. It offers a glimpse of Toronto during the 1900-1930 period through the lens of the Austin family.

Join a park naturalist after dark for a Coyote Howl guided walk as we discover a little bit more about one of the park’s most misunderstood creatures. No reservations required. Each hike runs for approximately 30 minutes. Everyone is then invited to gather around the bonfire, roast some marshmallows, then ring in the New Year with noisemakers in hand with a kids countdown at 8:30pm.
