I just came back from the island of Turks And Caicos with my husband, kids, my siblings and my parents.
While we were there, I was so interested to see the Beaches premise. I decided to take the kids to spend the day.
First off, Beaches is NOT on a dime. It is extremely expensive but I figured why not I try out the place and see if it is worth the money.
When we arrived at the resort we were overwhelmed with excitement. The place was huge. For those of you who have not heard about The Beaches hotel chain, they are owned by Sandals and Sesame Street is one of their sponsors. The hotel is equipped with 19 restaurants, 6 pools, a waterpark, lazy river, X Box Play Lounge, game rooms and more.
There is a drop off kids centre called Camp Sesame. The staff are all certified. For parents who want a break you can drop off your kids and enjoy some relaxation.
We started off at the water park. Inside the area was water slides that catered to all ages, a lazy river, a splash pad and a surf simulator. My kids were trying out all of the age appropriate activities for them. They are 2 and 4 years old. There was a kids only swim up pool bar serving specialty non alcoholic beverages.
We then headed over to the beach front. There was an inflatable trampoline in the ocean which I took the kids to try.
I took the kids to a few scheduled activities. They helped Ernie find rubber duckies and they baked cookies with Cookie Monster. My kids were so star struck with they saw the Sesame Street Characters.
I am unable to give a review on the food and the accommodation since I only ate one meal there and didn’t stay overnight. What I will say is you get that excited feeling when you arrive there. Like the one you get when you go to Disney World.
I spoke with the manager and he told me the best price time to book Beaches is from October to the November U.S. Thanksgiving weekend.
Beaches has three locations. One in Turks And Caicos and two in Jamaica.
