It’s BurlingtonGreen’s 10th anniversary this year, so there will be lots to celebrate!

If you are unable to participate in the Clean Up, you are still more than welcome to come down to the free Eco-fair 11 am – 4 pm on Saturday, April 22nd at Central Library/Park. (Burgers and drinks may be purchased by the general public that didn’t participate in the Clean Up, for a reasonable fee, with all proceeds going to support BurlingtonGreen’s important work.)

While we provide some instruction and monitoring of the course, parental supervision is required during obstacle course use.

The Kids’ Club is serious about the environment! To celebrate Earth Day, Sheridan Sharks are making a mobile to remind them of the role they play in keeping our planet healthy.
The event runs from 2 to 4 pm on Saturday, April 15. A scavenger hunt will round out the day, bringing some lessons and surprises.
The Kids’ Club is FREE and open to children ages 4 to 12. No pre-registration is required, however, if you do sign up, your child will receive a free welcome bag plus a membership card entitling them to more gifts after 10 and 20 visits. Children’s Easter Egg Hunt at Lynde House Museum & Visitor Centre. Saturday, April 15, 2017 from 11:00am until 4:00pm. Staggered tours start on the hour. Children accompanied by parents are invited to go on a tour through the rooms of Lynde House Museum. In each magical room there will be placed display Easter Eggs, Bunnies and other Easter related displays. Children are given pictures of the rooms and they can draw the position of the eggs on the photo. After the tour, children receive their Easter treats as an award in the Visitor Centre. The Lynde House Museum is located at the 900 Brock Street South in Whitby.

Easter Eggstravaganza is a free event that will feature many activities for children, including an Easter egg hunt and face painting. There will also be displays from Whitby Fire, GO Transit, Neighbourhood Watch, Bell Canada and a visit from the Easter Bunny himself! Drinks, hot dogs and treats will also be available for sale.
The event is free, but organizers are asking families to bring donations of non-perishable food items for local food banks.
We are asking everyone to register well in advance so that we will have lots of treats for the kids.
The Kids Safety Village of Durham Region is looking to expand its main teaching building with the construction of a new interactive classroom equipped with a full kitchen, living room and bathroom with features that simulate fire and emergency situations.
