It’s time to look up … way up and see the fabulous and fascinating kites that will take flight. Take part in this great family outing where you can see professional kite flying demonstrations, make a kite, enjoy pond dipping, have a picnic and take a self-guided hike to see nature blooming in the spring.
One of the longest standing kite festivals in the country, the Four Winds Kite Festival has been held since 1989. Along with kite flying, demonstrations and crafts, we will be joined by kite experts from renowned Kite Clubs. Members of these clubs will wow the crowds with their spectacular demonstrations with their high-flying colourful kites.

Stop in to the Oshawa Museum on Sunday May 7th from 12-4 pm and see some our amazing camera collection! Check out old Polaroids, 8 mm, Brownies and more! Compare the weight of your phone to some of our cameras. We’ll be experimenting with our Polaroids to see if they work with new film.
While you’re here, tour the Museum’s latest exhibit ‘Celebrating 60: Sixty Years of Collecting’ in Robinson House.
