My Journey To Health: 11 Pounds Down!
My Journey To Health: 11 Pounds Down!

My Journey To Health: 11 Pounds Down!

Since I was a Tween, I have struggled with my weight. I have a terrible sugar addiction and I’m addicted to food. I don’t gamble, smoke, or drink. My vice is food. I eat when I’m bored, happy, sad, or stressed. Over the past year I have put on a lot of weight. After meeting with my doctor following a physical, I was told that I have high Cholesterol. That is thanks to my bad eating habits and unlucky genetics. Five weeks ago I decided I need to make a big change.

Fate brought Natalie to me. My friend’s brother introduced us and when I heard what she did, I jumped on board immediately.

In 5 weeks I have lost 11 pounds!
I have not been 100% strict so having lost this much is great for me! I’ve been very happy.
I still have lots to go but I’m positive!

Here is what I have done!

Nutrition Forever
I see Nutrition expert Natalie Bean at her home in Thornhill once a week.
She made me a plan which includes me eating every 2-3 hours and cutting down on my sugar intake. I buy some of her prepared foods and eat the rest of my meals on my own.

Why is Natalie so great?
•She makes you a schedule that tailors to your needs.
•She has prepared foods if you don’t like to cook.
•She will guide you when dining out.
•She’s always available to answer questions. I text her all of the time.

Along with Natalie, I also started working out with Coach J Fitness Studio. I now work out there three days per week. I’m taking Spinning, F.I.T. Athletic Conditioning, and F.I.T. Strength!

Thanks to Jay I am sleeping better and I’m stronger than ever.

DECEMBER FREE & CHEAP EVENTS (December 2 – 4, 2016)
DECEMBER FREE & CHEAP EVENTS (December 2 – 4, 2016)

This week I visited a wonderful indoor play centre in Woodbridge called THE WRECKROOM. I was blown away by this place. It was impeccably clean and so much fun.
I practically had to carry my kids out of there after 2 hours of playing.

They have an arcade with prize redemption, an indoor playground, spacious party rooms with state of the art equipment, rock climbing, a toddler playground, and a laser game room.

The Owners Arthur & Stass are both Dads who were inspired to create a place that their kids would love.

If you want to inquire about a party, mention ‘Entertain Kids On A Dime’ for a discount!

This play centre is a new gem!

While donations will be accepted, this is part of our free community outreach initiatives to see families spend time together at this time of year.
This Tom Hanks film features Billy, a reluctant passenger on the ride of his life to the North Pole. His adventure pays off with a chance encounter with Santa. Visually stunning, the story is a testament that taking a chance can lead to wonderful new friends and experiences never thought possible.

Free but please RSVP as seating is limited.

For this edition of our Bookmarkers series, we’ve invited award-winning author Sara O’Leary, as well as award-winning illustrator Qin Leng, to read from and talk about their latest children’s book, A Family is a Family is a Family. When a teacher asks the children in her class to think about what makes their families special, the answers are all different in many ways — but the same in the one way that matters most of all.
Plus, cartoonist Jonathan Rotsztain will also be joining our Bookmarkers conversation, featuring an intergenerational comics project with grandparents and grandkids.
In conjunction with their informal readings and presentations, all three artists will lead interactive creative writing, drawing and collaborative comics-making activities, with a focus on creativity, expression and FUN!
Families are also welcome to enjoy coffee and treats by Coffee Public.
Recommended for young children, toddlers to age 7.

PART 2 (NO JUNK FOOD)

Coach J has asked you to challenge your family and not each junk food this Saturday and Sunday. If you have a weekend filled with birthday parties, then try it for Monday and Tuesday! You can all do it together! I am currently eating healthy with Nutrition Expert Natalie Bean and she would highly approve this challenge!

what-do-you-mean-halloween-is-over

Well! Halloween has finally passed, and my husband made a great point! Why do we do so much for one night? To tell you the truth, I don’t really know.  Besides it being fun. My nephew’s birthday is on Halloween so we had a big family dinner and I took my kid’s to our street to do our trick or treating. I left a “TAKE ONE” note with a big bowl of Candy on my front porch. It was gone very fast. Something tells me one child had a lot of extra candy that night! Haha!

SAVINGS TIP: The day after Halloween, head straight to Walmart. Depending on your luck, you can score on amazing costumes and decorations for next year. I got two 4 ft licensed blow ups for $7 each,  a pop up coffin for $5, and 3 boxes of 24 mini chip bags, for $2.60 per box! Yesss! I am now ready for next year!
