*Celebrating 60 with 50 Cent Admission (Oshawa)
12pm-4pm
Oshawa Museum
1450 Simcoe Street South, Lakeview Park
Oshawa, ON

The land on which Henry House sits had been in the family for almost 100 years. Construction of the house took place circa 1840 by members of the Henry family and lived in by Thomas, his wife Lurenda and ten of their youngest children. When the family was no longer living in the home it was taken up by the Lakeview Park caretakers and finally became a Museum in 1960.

On this long weekend in May, we are celebrating the 60th anniversary of the Oshawa Historical Society and the opening of Henry House as a Museum with 50¢ admission – the same as it was in 1960!

Henry House and its Heritage Gardens will be open for tours on Monday May 22, from 12 – 4 pm. Museum staff will be on hand in period costume to answer questions, and garden tours will be available.

Only Henry House will be open this afternoon. Guy House and Robinson House as well as Henry House will be open on Sunday May 21 from 12 – 4 pm. Admission is by donation.

Cost- 50 cents
