This March Break the Simcoe County Museum is putting these statements to the test with the travelling exhibit True or False? The Fun Science Exhibition. Through experiments and trivia, participants will find the truth of these myths and many more. See what happens when you mix diet cola and Mentos, and test your knowledge with a game of Fact or Fiction.

Regular Museum admission rates apply: Museum Members and preschoolers are free, Adult $6, Senior/Student $5, Child $4.

*Sunday FUNday (Oshawa)
12pm-4pm
Oshawa Community Museum
1450 Simcoe Street South
Oshawa, ON

Victorian homes were quite different than those built today. The interior décor was very ornate and carefully decorated with dark furniture and fabrics being used; the architecture in Oshawa was usually an assortment of Queen Anne, Second Empire and Italianate styles. The Houses at the Oshawa Community Museum are Victorian homes but different styles than those. Robinson House is in the Dutch Colonial style, Guy House is a simple wooden frame farmhouse with Georgian features and Henry House is a Regency style cottage.

On Sunday March 6th from 12 – 4 pm, you will see just how different life was for families around a Victorian home. Explore roles of the family, tools and gadgets that made their life easier and how homes are different now in terms of decorating style and architecture.

Get hands-on with real artifacts from the Victorian Era used in real Victorian homes, over 150 years ago!! Admission is $5 per person.

Cost: $5 per person
