The market runs every Saturday, rain or shine, between 9am and 1pm from June 18 until Thanksgiving Weekend, October 8, 2016. There is plenty of free parking at our market. Our local farmer vendors are passionate about their produce. Our volunteers are always there to help with the many special events. It’s a fun place for friends to meet and families to come Saturday mornings. Our Kid’s Club includes creative crafts and engaging activities weekly. This will be our 8th year of operation. One of the main reasons we exist is to encourage our community to buy locally grown and harvested IN SEASON conventional and organic vegetables and fruit. Also at the market you will find cheese, eggs, honey, nuts and dried fruit, yummy breads and baked goods, and prepared food for sale.

*Annual Lemonade Stand (Thornhill)
11am-6pm
Zaracoff House
45 Loma Vista Drive
Thornhill, ON

In 2011, my father contracted lymphoma and passed away at the age of 45, leaving our family behind.
That year, my 9-year-old sister, Jenna, set up a lemonade stand in our front garden in Thornhill, with the aim of donating the proceeds to Lymphoma Canada to promote awareness and research. With the help of family, friends and a supportive community, she raised $3,000.
Since that time, Jenna’s Lemonade Stand has become an annual tradition, involving community partners who donate entertainment, baked goods, merchandise for a silent auction and children’s events such as face painting. Last June, she was able to present a cheque for $8,400 to Lymphoma Canada and was presented with an award by Vaughan Mayor Mario Bevilacqua, acknowledging her efforts as a “Civic Hero” for outstanding community service.
