‘Rock the Block’, which is currently in its 3rd year started off in 2016 by local photographer, event organizer and Ajax resident Norman Anthony Smith as a small art walk event in a local Ajax parkette with just shy of one hundred guest attendees. The event has grown organically with just under 400 attendees last year and will be moving to a new home: AJAX DOWNS. It is our passion to organize events that bring together community, while showcasing the wealth of talent, culture, musicians, artisans and culinary artists from the Durham Region (Ajax, Pickering, Peterborough, Scugog area).

Rock the block is a combination of support from local businesses , artists and community which creates an interactive family space that fosters and strengthen community.
