For weeks our team of ghouls have been preparing the Simcoe County Museum for An Evening of Halloween.
We’ve planned loads of activities and spooky Halloween games appropriate for all ages. Wear your costume and be sure to visit the Games Room before you Trick-or-Treat along Barrie’s Main Street – we’ve got lots of prizes and treats to share! There’s no need to bring your Trick-or-Treat bag – we’ll supply you with everything you’ll need to create your own.
Sit on the edge of your seat as local magician Gary Austin dazzles you, or play a round of Boo Bingo before you venture outside to enjoy our family friendly activities on the grounds. Warm up with a cup of hot chocolate as you stroll along our Pumpkin Pathway to check out our outside activities including the new Straw Maze – built with our younger visitors in mind.
For those braver souls, take a walk through our terrifying Terror Trail. We’ve created a once-in-a-lifetime wedding for guests this year. “Till death do us part” takes on a whole new meaning with this creepy adventure – but beware – it is NOT for the faint of heart!
Museum Event Rates apply: Museum Members and Preschoolers are free; Adults $8; Students and Seniors $7; and Children are $6. Group bookings are available but pre-registration is required for groups of 10 or more.

So bring your candy sacks and your parents for a door to door experience. Also on October 30 at 2pm and October 31 at 11am we have additional Haunted House Walk Through times for all. Newmarket’s premier shopping centre, Upper Canada will open its doors to all the monsters, zombies, witches, princesses and superheroes on Halloween for safe and fun indoor trick or treating! Dress up in your favourite Halloween costume and trick or treat at select Upper Canada retailers on Tuesday, October 31 from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Complimentary treat bags and maps will be available for participants at the Guest Experience desk. For those who want to plan their trick or treat adventure in advance, the full list of participating retailers that will be handing out candy is now available at uppercanadamall.com.

Children ages 12 and under are invited to trick or treat in the warm, dry and safe environment of Eastgate Square. Children should bring their own loot bags to collect treats from participating merchants in what has become a Halloween tradition. This event always provides Spooktacular fun. Participants are requested to make a donation of at least $2 to our event partner, Habitat for Humanity.
