This is a great demonstration of what EDC’s EarthPLAY program is all about — giving kids the opportunity to build, create, make-believe, get messy, invent, collaborate and take calculated risks.
This is also a chance to see up-close what a true adventure playground looks like, and to better understand why Earth Day Canada is fundraising to bring more of this play to parks across the country.

The popular citywide litter Clean Up event, hosted by BurlingtonGreen and the City of Burlington, will be take place this year on the morning of April 22nd — that’s Earth Day! Schools and businesses may participate in the litter Clean Up April 17th – 21st.
The morning Clean Up on April 22nd will be followed by our Eco-fair Celebration and BBQ (while supplies last) at Central Library/Park again this year, with eco-themed exhibitors, live music and children’s activities. It’s BurlingtonGreen’s 10th anniversary this year, so there will be lots to celebrate!

If you are unable to participate in the Clean Up, you are still more than welcome to come down to the free Eco-fair 11 am – 4 pm on Saturday, April 22nd at Central Library/Park. (Burgers and drinks may be purchased by the general public that didn’t participate in the Clean Up, for a reasonable fee, with all proceeds going to support BurlingtonGreen’s important work.)

Gear up and test your skills on our bike obstacle course! The obstacle course is appropriate for ages 3 to 83. Try the skinnies, hit the ramps, or just wind your way through the cone course.
Children’s bikes without training wheels are available for ages 6 and up. Balance bikes are available for ages 3 to 5.
While we provide some instruction and monitoring of the course, parental supervision is required during obstacle course use.
This obstacle course is presented in part by Sweet Pete’s Bike Shop.
